Tony is happy with the new EC219

New things are always special.

So thinks Tony Bengtsson when he’s driving a new Hidromek 140W equipped with engcon’s new EC219.

“The machine feels stable and versatile, and the combination with engcon’s new EC219 makes it feel really, really good”.

Along Route 86 some 20 km or so south of Bispgården, we find Tony Bengtsson at work. He’s an excavator driver at Sundsvalls Mark & Transport AB, working to clear the road side from the gravel that has accumulated along the road. These gravel edges appear after a couple of winters’ sanding and form a bank preventing water from running-off the road.

“Yes, on certain sections you can see the rain and melted snow still lying on the road surface, as it’s stopped by these banks”, says Tony.

Although he’s only used the new machine and the EC219 for a week, he’s very pleased.

Found the right way

“engcon has really found the right way with the new generation of Tiltrotators. Just take the case of all lubrication points being collected to one single point – saving time and ensuring you don’t miss any lubrication point”, says Tony who also means that his new EC219 feels incredibly stable.

Sundsvalls Mark & Transport AB is owned by Krister Sjödin, and besides the machine that Tony drives the company has a fleet of other machines such as excavators, wheel loaders, dumpers, trucks and road graders. Around 35 people are employed by the company, but the figure varies depending on the season.

“We take on the majority of jobs in contracting and transport”, explains Tony before he resumes working to clean up the road sides.
